the business angel network for the creative arts

Information for Investors

CAIN provides a rigorous assessment and pre-selection service for its Investor Members. We aim to ‘take the hassle out of finding the potentials’ for our members. CAIN then presents only the best selected companies to its private network of investor members.

All investor members must be self-certified high-net-worth or sophisticated investors. On-line form

Following submission of your application, the Network Director will contact you for a telephone interview to assess your investment requirements. Registration will be completed at this point with final documents being sent to you for signature prior to an invitation to an Investment Meeting.

CAIN recognises the importance of having investor members that are serious about investing in the creative arts. For this reason, we charge an annual membership fee. Once an investment has been made during any investment year, then the following year’s membership is free.

There are 3 types of CAIN Membership available:

  • Individual Investor Membership
  • Corporate Investor Membership
  • Associate Membership

Please contact CAIN for further information.

The Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (The Act)

Investment in new business carries high risks as well as the possibility of high rewards. It is highly speculative and potential investors should be aware that no established market exists for the trading of share in private companies. Before investing in a project about which information is given, potential investors are strongly advised to take advice from a person authorised by the financial service and markets Act 2000 (FSMA) who specialises in advising on investments of this kind.
