What we do ...
CAIN acts as a ‘broker’ in the creative arts sector, providing a key introductory service to potential investors for film, theatre, music, television and live events companies looking for investment.
CAIN has been established to:
- Help film, theatre, television, music and live events companies to gain access to potential business angel and private equity investment.
- Help potential investors and other interested parties to understand the different financing structures for creative arts companies and projects.
- Provide a sector-specific forum to enable creative arts companies to present their business proposition to potential investors.
- Develop a renewed interest in business angel investment in the creative arts sector.
CAIN provides a forum where creative arts companies are able to present their propositions to a private network of individual and corporate investors, their business advisors and sector specialists.
How we do it ...
In this challenging creative arts environment, where creative arts finance is becoming increasingly complex, one of the key issues for potential investors in this sector is assessing the potential commercial value and ultimate return on investment of the propositions that investors see.
CAIN has established a CAIN Forum, a team of sector specialists covering each of the sectors in which the Network operates. The Forum works with CAIN to assess the creative and business potential of the propositions submitted to the Network.
It is working with the Creative Arts Forum that gives CAIN its unique positioning in the creative arts sector as the business angel network with a panel of sector specialists who undertake an informed analysis of all potential presentee company propositions as part of the investment readiness process.
We hope that the Network’s rigorous selection process will give investors the confidence to explore the potential commercial returns offered by the companies presented by CAIN.
